- Online written tests will be conducted online and the duration of this test will be of 1 hour.
- The written test will consist of four sections, i.e. Science, Mathematics, English and General Knowledge.
- The total number of questions asked will be 100 and each correct answer will be awarded 1 mark and each wrong answer will carry a penalty of 0.25 marks.
- The questions will be asked in both English and Hindi languages and will be of objective type.
- The standard of questions will be 10+2.
- The candidates are required to pass in all sections and in aggregate as Navy reserves the right to determine the passing marks in each section and in aggregate.
- Count the number of all answers marked and the number of questions marked incorrectly.
- Multiply 0.25 by the number of wrong answers.
- Subtract both the numbers to calculate the approximate score.
- Estimated Marks = Number of Correct Answers Marked – (0.25 X Number of Wrong Answers)

- For selection it is mandatory for the candidates to pass the Physical Fitness Test (PFT).
- will have to complete a 1.6 km run in 7 minutes, 20 sit ups (Uthak sitting) and 10 push-ups.

- Medical examination will be conducted by authorized military doctors as per the medical standard prescribed in the extant rules applicable to sailors on entry

- Candidates must be in good mental and physical health and free from any defect likely to interfere with the skillful performance of duties on both coasts in case of peace as well as war
